Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Thursday introduced Wesley Clark, retired general of the United States Army, as his new advisor on strategic, security and economic matters.

Wesley Clark is a former NATO commander and ran for President of the United States in 2004.

Clark let NATO's 1999 bombing campaign in Kosovo and was one of the first critics of the United States' war in Iraq.
