Romanian meteorologists on Saturday issued a code yellow warning forecasting snow and blizzards in southern and southwestern Romania on Sunday, between 3 a.m. and 10 p.m.

In the timeframe considered, it will snow in counties Caras Severin, Mehedinti, Gorj, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Calarasi, Ialomita, Braila, as well as in capital city Bucharest and surrounding Ilfov county.
Prefect offices in these areas were notified to take all necessary measures.
According to website meteoromania.ro, snow is also expected in other areas countrywide, coupled with strong gusts of wind causing blizzards mainly in mountainous areas and the country's western region.
Meteorologists also warned of icy glaze.
