Coronavirus in Romania: 1.987 new cases and 71 deaths in the last 24 hours
1.987 new coronavirus cases have been reported in Romania in the last 24 hours, and 71 Romanians have died, according to the report of the Strategic Communications Group (GCS). One death was recorded in the age group 20-29 years, and three deaths in the age category 40-49 years.

To date, on 11 January, in Romania, 673.271 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
600.710 patients have been declared cured.
Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1.987 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 399 people were reconfirmed as positive.
To date, 16.725 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 10.01.2021 and 11.01.2021, 71 deaths were reported (48 men and 23 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Buzău, Caraş-Severin, Cluj, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiş, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
