Dacia halted activity on March 19, after Romania entered a month-long state of emergency period, and was targeting reopening on April 6 but extended the period saying it was working on implementing protective measures to allow activity to resume.
Dacia registrations have been severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the Romanian carmaker's sales were among the hardest hit in Europe.
Dacia registrations in Germany dropped 43% in the first quarter compared with the same period of 2019, to less than 11,000 units. Dacia registrations also fell sharply on its main European markets – Spain, France and Italy.
