The site consists of two buildings of around 25,000 square meters in total and already has operating injection machines and EPS (expanded polystyrene) production facilities which De'Longhi can use for its production.
The deal is meant to support the expected organic growth pursued by the group in the main markets and is consistent with the strategy to reduce the time to market of our products, preserving quality and control.
This new location will employ more than 500 workers and, backed by the successful experience achieved in the Romanian Cluj region, will strengthen the group’s presence in the region, the company said in a press release.
De’ Longhi has revenues of more than EUR2 billion and is active in the design, manufacture and distribution of coffee makers, kitchen and cooking appliances, air conditioners and heaters, as well as home care products.
