On Friday and Saturday morning, two vessels tried to free cruise ship Primadonna, which carries Romania, English and French tourists, but failed, said Drobeta Turnu Severin Port Office director Mihai Ghiba.

According to Ghiba, passengers will be ferried to Bechet and then taken to their homes.

Thursday night, another ship got stuck in sand in the same area because of the river's low level, but managed to set sail again Friday morning and reach the Calafat port.
