Official: To date, 47 Romanian citizens abroad have died of COVID-19
Since the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 and up to this moment, 47 Romanian citizens abroad, 13 in Italy, 11 in France, 12 in the UK, seven in Spain, two in Germany, one in Belgium and one in Sweden have died, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) has announced.

"Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, 703 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 420 in Italy, 196 in Spain, 21 in France, 9 in Germany, 42 in the United Kingdom, 2 in Namibia, 2 in the USA, 2 in Austria, 2 in Belgium, 2 in Indonesia and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden”, according to the source.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 11 were declared healed: seven in France, two in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
By April 12, 758.770 cases were reported in the EU / EEA, United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases were registered in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
