The protest is organized by the union with Romanian carmaker Automobile Dacia. Union representatives said employees of other companies operating in the auto industry, as well as unionists in the administration, education and health sectors are also expected to join the protest.
Union vice-president Marin Anghel said the protest is directed against the Government's social policy.
The union said on Monday about 10,000 people were expected to join the protest.
