The authorities have announced on Monday that 1.591 new cases of COVID-19 and 45 deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours in Romania. There are 592 patients in the intensive care units.

According to the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), until Monday in Romania, 137.491 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) were confirmed. 108.526 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, in the last 24 hours, 1.591 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered.

As of Monday, 5.048 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

From Sunday, at 10.00, until Monday, at 10.00, 45 deaths were reported, out of which 27 for men and 18 for women. These are patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Brăila, Buzău, Caraş-Severin, Cluj, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Timiş, Tulcea, Vrancea and Bucharest.
