Romania: 2.989 new cases of Covid-19 and 150 deaths within 24 hours

The Strategic Communications Group has announced on Thursday that in the last 24 hours 2.989 new cases of Covid-19 and 150 deaths in patients confirmed with the new coronavirus have been registered in Romania.

According to GCS, until Thursday in Romania, 1.039.998 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed. 959.126 patients have been declared cured.

In the last 24 hours, 2.989 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 536 people were reconfirmed as positive.

As of Thursday, 26.943 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the last 24 hours, 150 deaths (91 men and 59 women) have been reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Brăila, Botoşani, Braşov, Buzău, Caraş-Severin, Cluj, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Galaţi, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Mureş, Neamţ, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Timiş, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vâlcea, Ilfov and the Bucharest Municipality.
