Romania Issues Heat Wave Advisory For Bucharest, 14 Counties In Southern, Eastern Regions

Romanian weather authorities have issued a yellow code heat warning for capital Bucharest and 14 counties, as temperatures are expected to reach 35-38 degrees Celsius Wednesday and Thursday.

The heat index, which combines air temperature and relative humidity to determine the felt air temperature, will exceed the critical threshold of 80, the National Meteorology Administration said.

The advisory covers capital Bucharest, and counties Ialomita, Calarasi, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Teleorman, Olt, Dolj, Mehedinti, Caras-Severin, Timis, Arad, Bihor, Alba, and Hunedoara.
