Romania Nov Overdue Loans Up 3.1% On Month To RON16.4B
Romanian non-government overdue loans rose 3.1% on the month to 16.4 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.2871) in November, central bank data showed Tuesday.

Overdue private lending almost doubled compared with RON8.3 billion in November 2009, the data showed.
Overdue loans in Romanian lei rose 3.5% on the month to RON7.7 billion end-November. Overdue lending in lei was up 80% compared with RON4.3 billion in November 2009.
According to central bank data, overdue foreign currency loans were at RON8.7 billion in November, up 2.2% on the month and more than doubled from RON4 billion in the same period of 2009.
Overall private lending rose 0.5% on the month to RON209.4 billion in November. Loans in Romanian lei amounted to RON77.2 billion, while foreign currency-denominated loans stood at RON132.2 billion.
