Romania’s Jobless Rate Stays At 7.3% In July

Romania’s unemployment rate was stable at 7.3% in July, according to seasonally adjusted data, the national statistics institute INS said Monday.

The statistics institute revised June unemployment data, from a previously estimated 7.5%.

In July 2010, the jobless rate was at 7.2%.

The number of unemployed people was estimated at 707,000 in July, from 713,000 in June.

Male unemployment was at 7.6%, while female unemployment stood at 6.9%.

The figures are based on the definition recommended by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
