Romania's Petrom To Cut Gas Prices By RON0.04/Liter

Thus, as of Thursday, one liter of unleaded Premium 95 gasoline will cost RON5.12, while one liter of unleaded Top Premium 99+ will be sold with RON5.5 per liter.

One liter of OMV Carrera 95 and of OMV Carrera 100 will cost RON5.12 and RON5.92, respectively.

The diesel oil prices will remain unchanged, Petrom said in a statement Wednesday.

The prices of fuel sold in OMV Petrom's gas stations may vary by +/- 5%, compared with the reference prices.

According to the country's statistics institute, fuel prices rose by more than 15% last year, after a 13% increase in 2009.

Since the beginning of 2011, oil companies in Romania raised their prices by an average 3.5%.
