According to the sources, the measure will affect employees working within ministries and the institutions they control, police officers, customs workers, as well as employees in the justice system.
In a meeting Wednesday, the Government repealed the norms allowing several public administration institutions and authorities to use a part of their earnings to create incentive funds, said the sources.
They added that, according to the letter of intent to the International Monetary Fund Romania signed in June, authorities pledged to repeal by the end of August 2011 the norms on granting incentives to public sector employees and eliminate incentives staring January 2012.
