Romania Unemployment Rate Inches Down to 3.9% in January

Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate inched down to 3.9% in January from 4.1% in December 2019, data from the country's statistics board showed Tuesday.

An estimated 350,000 people were unemployed in Romania in January, compared with 366,000 people in December and with 353,000 people who were jobless in January 2019, the data showed.

The jobless rate among women stood at 3.3% in January, while the rate among men was 4.3%.
