"It is hard for me to say how prices will evolve, but I do not expect food prices will increase significantly because of the overall economic situation. In the end, food must be accessible," the minister said Friday in the seminar Mediafax talks about Romanian Agriculture, held in the western city of Timisoara.
Tabara said that, although recently the price of flour has gone up, bread and bakery products have not become considerably more expensive.
The minister also said that, according to his information, Romania has a reserve of at least two million tons of wheat, of which 40% is of "very good quality" and 20% is of "good quality."
