Romanian Authorities Raid Three Bucharest Customs Points

Romanian authorities on Friday morning are raiding three customs points in capital Bucharest, checking economic operators suspected of not paying customs fees.

According to Bucharest Police spokeswoman Diana Sarca, authorities are checking the Berceni customs point and two customs offices.

Checkups are carried out by about 100 police officers, customs authority and Financial Guard representatives.

Raids have been prompted by suspicions that some economic operators do not pay customs charges.
