Romanian Carmaker Dacia To Cease Production In April 22 - May 2

According to Oreviceanu, car part delivery problems are caused by supliers' financial difficulties and have nothing to do with the situation in earthquake and tsunami-hit Japan.
Automobile Dacia Union vice-president Ion Iordache said early April Dacia must adjust production as providers of car parts no longer receive parts from Japan.
Dacia, owned by French group Renault, has about 15,000 employees and manufactures 1,377 cars per day.
Dacia's sales increased by 12% last year to 348,723 cars from 311,426 units and its market share in Europe increased by 0.3 percentage points to 1.6%. Dacia sold 36,730 cars in Romania, down 20% compared to 2009.
