Romanian Competition Council Probes Meal Voucher Market For Collusion Among Top Players

The investigations were sparked following complaints received by the Competition Council, according to which the three firms colluded to eliminate from the market two smaller competitors, Romticket and Ascendi.

The nominal value of a meal voucher is the same for all beneficiaries, 9 lei (some EUR2), established and periodically updated by the Labor Ministry.

Should evidence of collusion be found by the authorities, the companies involved face fines that may reach 10% of their turnovers.
