Romanian Dacia Logan Sales In Russia Up 17% In 2010
Romanian carmaker Dacia sold 62,826 Logan models in Russia in 2010, up 17% from 2009, ranking sixth among the best-sold brands, on a market which grew 30%, to 1.9 million units.

According to a press release by the Auto Constructor Commission with the Association of European Companies in the Russian Federation, the Logan is the sixth best-sold brand, being outranked by four Lada models and the Ford Focus.
Dacia's Sandero model, launched in Russia last year, sold 19,232 units, ranking 19th.
Dacia's parent, the Renault group, owns the Avtoframos factory near Moscow, which produces the Logan and Sandero models. In 2010, the factory's capacity was doubled to 160,000 units annually.
The French group sold 96,466 cars and light commercial vehicles on the Russian market last year, up 33% from 2009.
In March, Russia launched a cash-for-clunkers program, granting scrap bonuses of around EUR1,200. The program was due to end in November, but was extended by the government.
