Romanian Food Prices Might Climb 8% To 10% - Agric Minister

Food prices in Romania could increase by 8% to 10%, Agriculture Minister Valeriu Tabara said Wednesday evening, adding final figures will be available after the matter is analyzed in the ministry.

The minister highlighted that the good practice Guide on commerce has not been entirely implemented, and added that authorities should do more to have traders observe commerce regulations.

Tabara pointed out that, in some cases, prices of food sold in stores are unjustified considering raw material prices.
