Romania’s Tourism Minister Elena Udrea said Thursday the Government considers reducing to 9% the value added tax on foods served in tourism industry units.

According to the minister, the measure is aimed to help investors in the sector and encourage them to build boardinghouses.
Udrea said the VAT on foods served in tourism units will be reduced to 9% if the Finance Ministry data show such a move is feasible.
