The Romanian Government survived a fourth no-confidence motion this year as none of the MPs cast a vote on the motion Thursday after a man working for the public television jumped from one of the room’s balconies and injured himself.

The plenary meeting was resumed after the incident, but opposition lawmakers left and ruling coalition members did not cast any votes.
Senate deputy chairman Petru Filip declared the motion rejected, which means the unitary wage law for the public sector has been adopted.
The motion needed 236 votes infavor to pass.
