Romanian Liberal Leader Says 68% Would Vote For Liberal-Social Democrat Alliance
Romania’s opposition Liberal Party leader Crin Antonescu said Saturday polls ordered by the party show 62% to 68% of Romanians would vote for the Social-Liberal Union, the alliance of liberals, social democrats and conservatives.

The Liberal Party, which has already teamed up in a political alliance with the Conservative Party, is voting Saturday to validate the creation of the Social-Liberal Union.
Leaders of the Social Democratic Party also meet Saturday to validate the new alliance.
The alliance will be co-headed by social democrat leader Victor Ponta and liberal leader Antonescu.
