Romanian Lower Chamber Rejects Social Democrats’ Motion On Agriculture

Romanian Chamber of Deputies Wednesday rejected with 137 to 107 votes the simple motion on agriculture filed by the opposition Social Democratic Party.

The motion had been removed from the agenda of the Chamber of Deputies Tuesday, after social democrats refused to read it out in the plenary meeting because of disputes with ruling democrat liberals.

The Chamber of Deputies' Standing Office unanimously decided earlier Wednesday to reintroduce the simple motion on the agenda and put it to the vote.
