Romanian Lower House Rejects Simple Motion Against Transport Minister

The Romanian Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday rejected with 162 to 129 votes and three abstentions a simple motion targeting Transport Minister Anca Boagiu.

The simple motion was submitted in the lower house on November 15 by opposition social democrats and liberals. It was debated Monday evening in the presence of Boagiu.

Opposition lawmakers said last week the motion concerns the ministry's low EU fund absorption and the slow pace of infrastructure works.
