Romanian Opposition To Submit Two No-Confidence Motions Over Public Sector Wages
Romanian opposition Social Democratic Party leader Victor Ponta said Wednesday the opposition will submit two motions of no-confidence in Parliament over the wage law for 2011 and the unitary wage law, for which the Government sought MPs' confidence vote Tuesday.

One of the motions is to be submitted Wednesday and the other likely on Thursday, Ponta said.
Asked whether he sees any of the motions passing and overthrowing the Government, Ponta said he's not getting his hopes up.
Romania's centrist coalition Government, which has a frail majority in Parliament, asked lawmakers for a confidence vote Tuesday to adopt the two wage laws.
Under the Constitution, the opposition has three days to submit a no-confidence motion when the Government uses this procedure to adopt laws bypassing the Parliament.
