Prime Minister Emil Boc said earlier Wednesday, after a meeting with the opposition, that an extraordinary Parliament session would be held next week, to "defuse any conflict."
He also said the Government agrees to appear in Parliament once a month to explain its future decisions.
Hundreds of protesters have rallied in Bucharest's Universitate Square for the sixth straight day, demanding the resignation of the head of state and the Government. Street demonstrations are staged countrywide. About 10,000 people are expected to participate Thursday in opposition's anti-government protest rally and march.
