Romanian PM Hopes To Appoint New Health Minister By August 19

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc said Monday the ruling coalition has discussed the need to find a new health minister and hopes a nomination for the position will be made by August 19.

"We have discussed the Health Ministry issue and we hope to have a replacement by August 19, when the interim minister term expires," said Boc, adding no names have been discussed for the health minister position.

Romania's Health Minister Attila Cseke resigned Thursday, displeased with the funds the Health Ministry has been allotted at this year's first budget revision.
