The employees' integrity will be tested by undercover officers in situations similar to those encountered during their regular duties, said Constantin.
According to him, the Traffic Police is especially "vulnerable" to corruption, given its direct dealings with citizens.
The chief-commissioner said 3,752 people were investigated for corruption in 2010, including 1,656 who worked in the Interior Ministry's structures: 222 in the Police Department, 38 in the Border Police, nine in the Gendarmerie, 69 in the Fire Department, 19 in public administration, and 19 in other ministry structures.
