Romanian President Advises Against Loan Agreement With China

Romanian President Traian Basescu advised the Government against signing a loan agreement with China, arguing that Romania has enough resources for investments.

Former Finance Minister Sebastian Vladescu told Ziarul Financiar, in an interview, that Romania should consider a precautionary loan agreement with China, for EUR3-4 billion, which could target investment projects, rather than reform programs like the agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
