Romanian President Calls On Govt To Stop Endless Talks With Unions On Labor Code

The head of state said union leaders usually try to foil the adoption of normative acts by prolonging discussions. He stressed that talks on the Labor Code can't go on endlessly, and stressed that the Government must make a decision.

Prime Minister Emil Boc met with unionists and employers in December for talks on the Labor Code and the draft Social Code.

Boc said back then he will postpone the amendment of the Labor Code by one month, until January 21. He said that, meanwhile, he will be waiting for unions and employers' propositions.
