Romanian President Invited To Third EU-Africa Summit In Tripoli

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi invited Romanian President Traian Basescu to participate in the third EU-Africa summit which will take place in Tripoli between November 29 and November 30, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a press release Friday.

The invitation was transmitted to Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry state secretary for global affairs Doru Costea by Ahmad Jarrud, European affairs general manager with the Libyan Foreign Affairs Ministry.

According to the press release, Ahmad Jarrud is on a visit to Bucharest as special emissary of the Libyan leader.
