Romanian Public Servants Could Be Fired While On Parental Leave – Bill

The bill Romania's Ministry of Administration and Interior put up for public debate Thursday repeals from the current law an article that states public servants may not be fired or transferred to other positions while on medical or parental leave except at their own initiative.

The bill also states public servants' university or PhD studies are not considered professional training and shall not be paid from the state budget or local budgets.
