Romanian Pupils Might Take Oral Examinations Within The Baccalaureate In February

Pupil representatives have asked the Romanian Ministry of Education to hold the oral examinations within the Baccalaureate exam in February, so as to avoid the scorching heat during the summer months and allow candidates to prepare better for the written examinations.

Alexandru Manda, leader of the Pupils’ Association in Constanta, said that the candidates who took the exam this year experienced intense heat during an exam “that is supposed to decide their academic fate”. He asked the Ministry of Education to hold the oral examinations in February and the written examinations a week earlier than initially planned, so as to avoid the intense heat and allow candidates to focus more on the written examinations.

Therefore, pupils might take the oral examinations between 29 January and 2 February and between 12 and 22 February 2018, while the written examinations might be held between 25 and 28 June 2018.
