Orban attended the coalition's meeting on Tuesday and had a meeting on the issue with Prime Minister Emil Boc Monday.
Romania will set up a Ministry for European Funds in October and the minister will most likely be former EU commissioner Leonard Orban, Development and Tourism Minister Elena Udrea said last week.
Prime Minister Emil Boc added later the set up of the ministry and the appointment of the minister in charge of it would be made public in September, when the ruling coalition has a final agreement on the issue.
