Romanian Ruling Democrat Liberals To Elect New Leaders On May 14

The Romanian ruling Democratic Liberal Party’s delegates will convene on May 14 to elect the party’s new leaders, democrat liberal vice-president Gheorghe Flutur said Monday, after the meeting of the party’s standing bureau.

Flutur said the standing bureau decided to summon the party's national council on February 19 and hold a national convention on May 14. Another meeting of the national council will take place on May 15.

According to Flutur, 1,350 delegates will be present at the meeting of the National Convention. He said the local democrat liberal organizations which have not yet elected their leaders must do it by May 14.
