Romanian Senate Adopts Proposition To Transfer Sums From Fines, Fees To Health Security Fund

The Romanian Senate Monday adopted an amendment to the law on health sector reform, whereby 5% of sums collected from sanctions, fines, authorization fees and taxes owed by natural persons and legal entities will be transferred to the health security fund.

According to the draft law drawn up by several lawmakers, the money will be used to complete the sums needed to ensure treatment within several health programs.

The proposition still needs to be adopted by the Chamber of Deputies.
