Under the bill, medical practices in schools operate under the authority of the local public administration and the professional coordination of the county public health departments, being funded from the local budget. The practices shall be open for the entire duration of the school year.
The bill also says schools will be required to teach first-aid classes, a need brought on by the alarming rise of accidents in schools and of car crashes.
The bill was adopted with 115 votes for, one against and two abstentions. It will now pass to the Chamber of Deputies.
