The tourists can ask TAP Portugal for compensations and the travel agency promised to provide legal assistance.
Romanian travel agency Paralela 45 accuses TAP Portugal of poor communication and misinforming the tourists. Paralela 45 says that the airline failed to inform the agency about the flight cancellation, and thus it was unable to properly inform the tourists.
The 35 tourists were due to return to Bucharest on a Saturday night flight from Lisbon, yet the flight was rescheduled for Sunday night. This second flight was cancelled as well, prompting Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose to say that should the situation require it, the group will be flown home on a flight operated by Romanian national airline Tarom.
