Romanian Transp Min To Be Named Co-President Of EPP Transport Ministers’ Forum

Romania’s Transport and Infrastructure Minister Anca Boagiu Friday will be appointed co-president of the Forum of Transport Ministers members of the European People’s Party (EPP), alongside former EU Commissioner for Transport Antonio Tajani.

Among of the issues to be discussed at the transport ministers' reunion in Luxemburg are the proposition put forward by the European Parliament and the European Council to amend Directive 1999/62 regarding taxes on heavy freight vehicles (the Eurovignette directive) and the strategy regarding European transports in the 2010-2020 interval.

The meeting of the EPP ministers takes place within the reunion of EU Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council (TTE).
