Romanians Borrowed EUR2B From Banks To Buy Homes Since Crisis Began

Mortgage loans recorded one more month of growth in August, with the overall volume of outstanding loans climbing by the equivalent of EUR7.3 billion, helped by funding available through the state-guaranteed ‘First Home’ scheme. The August increase is equal to EUR90 million, according to data from National Bank of Romania (BNR).
