Vodafone Romania Names New CEO

Telecom operator Vodafone Romania appointed a new chief executive starting with December 1, when Liliana Solomon is replaced by Inaki Berroeta, the head of Vodafone Malta, the local company announced Monday.

Solomon will be promoted as the group's Director of Operations, Europe Region.

With a background of more than 15 years in telecom, Berroeta has held several management positions within the Vodafone Group.

Vodafone Romania is the second-largest player on the local mobile telephony market, with 9.8 million clients on June 30.
