WB Puts Romania Among High Restructuring Emerging Economies
The World Bank included Romania, alongside other five countries, in the category of developing economies in Europe and Central Asia undergoing the most serious restructuring, according to the bank's Global Economic Prospects 2011 report released Thursday.

The other countries in Europe and Central Asia included in the same category are Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine.
Other countries in Europe and Central Asia undergoing significant restructuring are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova Republic, Macedonia and Uzbekistan, the report says.
The World Bank sees Romania's economy growing by 1.5% this year, and by 4.4% in 2012, figures similar with the International Monetary Fund's forecasts.
For the six countries in Europe and Central Asia undergoing the most significant restructuring, the World Bank anticipates a 3.9% GDP growth this year and a 4.1% growth in 2012.
In the whole Europe and Central Asia region, the GDP growth is seen slowing down from 4.7% to 4% this year, followed by a 4.2% rise in 2012.
In Central and Eastern Europe, the economic growth is estimated at 2.1% and 3.9% in 2011 and 2012, respectively, the institution said.
