The Justice Ministry announces the confirmation of the second case of COVID-19 in the institution

The Ministry of Justice (MJ) has announced, on Thursday night, the confirmation of a second case of COVID-19, an employee from the litigation department. Earlier on Thursday, the institution was evacuated after the first case of infection had been confirmed.

„The legal measures were immediately dispatched and DSP Bucharest announced the start of the epidemiological investigation”, according to a Ministry statement.

The employees of the Ministry of Justice left the offices on Thursday and the cabinets of the dignitaries were evacuated last.

The evacuation measure was adopted after a first employee was confirmed with Covid-19. Employees will return to work on Wednesday, April 15th.

„Until then, we will work online, each of you to ensure the ability to work online and by telephone, to ensure the continuity of the Ministry’s activity even under the given conditions”, Cătălin Predoiu, minister of Justice, said.

In the next three days, three successive decontamination will take place in the Ministry’s headquarters. The last decontamination was on April 4.

„Please keep calm and apply the instructions. Calm, courage and confidence! We will go through this situation well. But for this we must apply the rules. Take care of yourself, limit your contacts, respect your isolation and do not forget to stay connected online, we continue to operate online”, said Cătălin Predoiu.
