Coronavirus in Romania: 707 new cases and 54 deaths in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 707 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Romania and 54 Romanians have died after being infected with SARS-COV-2.

To date, on 19 May, in Romania, 1.073.679 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.028.554 patients have been declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 707 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) have been registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. Aside from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 168 people were reconfirmed as infected.

To date, 29.716 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 18.05.2021 and 19.05.2021, 54 deaths (30 men and 24 women) have been reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeş, Arad, Bihor, Botoşani, Brăila, Caraş-Severin, Călăraşi, Cluj, Constanţa, Covasna, Dolj, Galaţi, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Mureş, Neamţ, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiş Tulcea and Bucharest.
