Romanian Director Mungiu Nominated For Golden Globes

Romanian director Cristian Mungiu was nominated for the Golden Globe awards, in the “best foreign language film” section, to be awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in a ceremony on January 13 in Los Angeles, according to goldenglobe.org.

Along Mungiu’s "4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days", nominations for best foreign language film are "The Diving Bell and Butterfly", "The Kite Runner", "Lust, Caution" and "Persepolis".

Last year, the Golden Globe for the best foreign language film went to Clint Eastwood’s "Letters From Iwo Jima".

"4,3,2" was recently awarded best foreign language film and best supporting actor by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. The film was also awarded the Palme d’Or in Cannes and the Hollywood World Award.
