A terrorist attack from al-Qaeda in a capital city such as London or Cairo would be a nightmare much worse than the September 11 attacks in America in 2001, ElBaradei said in an interview for Arabian daily Al-Hayat, quoted by APcom.

He voiced concern over data showing radioactive material trafficking attempts, saying most of the cases were reported in countries belonging to the former Soviet Union and in the Eastern Europe, namely Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Romania.
