The president of the Bucharest branch of PSD, Marian Vanghelie, stated that he wishes to run for city hall, indicating that he would carry out talks with Sorin Oprescu, to see who of them should represent the party in local elections.

Vanghelie said that the difference between him and Oprescu is 2% in the polls.

Vanghelie added that Victor Ponta received 7% in polls, being known as a leader of Romanian Social Democratic Party, not someone who would handle administration.
